FC Frederick would like to invite you to participate in ScrimmageFest XVI, March 19-20 in Frederick, MD. I hope you will consider including this unique event in your team’s Spring pre-season plans. Divisions for Boys and Girls U9 through U14 are offered. U9-10 play 7v7, U11-12 play 8v8, U13-14 play 11v11.The cost is $185 for small sided play (U9 thru U12) and $225 for full sided play. This includes referee fees.
For those of you unfamiliar with ScrimmageFest, it is a single day of soccer for your team. You will play four different opponents in a shortened match format (35 minutes, switch ends about halfway through) with no scores or standings kept. This format removes the pressure and (perceived) need to win associated with most tournaments so as to advance to an extra game and/or Championship. You play all four anyway. This in turn gives coaches the latitude to try different formations, player combinations and substitution patterns they may not feel comfortable with in another format.
This has proven to be an increasingly popular pre-season event.
The playing day for each age group this time is:
Saturday March 19 - all U10s, all U12s and all U14s
Sunday March 20 - all U9s, all U11s, and all U13s
All small sided games are scheduled for Ballenger Creek Park
All full sided games are scheduled for Mt Saint Mary`s University

Urgent Notice - March 17
All U13 schedules are null. We have lost a field at Mt Saint Mary`s. We will be moving 10 - 12 teams to St Thomas More Academy on two fields there. I hope to have new schedules by Friday am. I appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this unfortunate circumstance.
March 18 - AM update
U13 schedules have been revised. A new venue, St Thomas More Academy, has been added. Directions are in the fields section. It is vital that you communicate to your teams this new information so we don`t have players showing up at the wrong venue and missing games.
March 18 - 8:30 PM update
U13 schedules are down again. I will be reposting the games at St Thomas More Academy shortly. THERE ARE NO CHANGES to the schedules at ST THOMAS MORE.
The Stadium field at Mt Saint Mary`s has been pulled from us as of right now. There aren`t too many games effected but none the less the schedules must be revised again. Check back periodically for the revised, revised schedules.
